Das vidania, Dr. Jones

We saw Indiana Jones last night. I've got a couple things to say:

Cate Blanchett turns into this:

Shia LeBouf becomes Indiana Jones' Jar Jar Binks

Aliens? Space Ship? Seriously? Seriously?!

Words can't describe how psyched I am for RAMBO. So I'll let the trailer do the talking.

Shoot Em Up!

It's Thanksgiving! Happy Thanksgiving! We had our delicious dinner at Jon's grandma's and enjoyed each other's company.

Tonight Jon and I watched Shoot 'Em Up, starring former hot dude of the week, Clive Owen. This movie was the most awesome, hilarious, ridiculous movie ever. Also Clive Owen is hot.

I haven't updated this lately because I'm bored of it, to be honest. I've been busy. We went to Ohio for a week to visit my new nephew, Peyton. There are photos in my flickr, if you want to see the little guy.

I can't remember what else I wanted to say :(

tears!

Friday night Jon took me on a DATE! We went to Milano's which is a cute little candle lit Italian restaurant down the street. After that we went to see Gone Baby Gone. It was a really good movie. I can't say more about it than that. Go see it! Jon and I had a very heated debate about it on the way home.

Tonight after Jon went to bed, I watched Things We Lost In The Fire. This story is any wife who love's her husband's worst nightmare come true. I thought it was soooo good. If you feel like crying, go see this and just cry your heart out. I know this movie is going to haunt me forever but maybe it will help me too! You know, help me not dwell on the 'things' and the 'stuff' that doesn't really matter.

I have a bunch of letterpress ideas shooting out of my brain lately. So maybe I'll get busy with those and put them up for sale on etsy soon! I'll keep ya posted.

disappointed!

but not really.

We didn't go into the city tonight. I was really sick and cranky and miserable all day, and then Jon called and said there was a problem with our tickets, (we weren't sure they were validated, oops!) so we decided not to chance driving into the city for nothing. Waste of time and money, especially with how crappy I felt.

Instead Jon decided to take care of me. He brought me home my favorite soup, Baked Potato, from Panera, and a sandwich. We were going to spend the evening watching a girly romantic movie, Becoming Jane, but I didn't think I had the stamina to pay attention, eat, and knit. I know, it's a rough life. Instead Jon turned on another 'romantic' comedy. Usually British comedies are my favorites, but I wasn't really into this one. It was Love and Other Disasters. Brittany Murphy is cute, but her accent going from British to American was just really annoying. I'm glad they explained it finally, but it was weird. It was a kind of cute movie and it sort of poked fun at itself and its genre.

I watched the Colbert Report from home and it was sort of a boring show, so I'm not heartbroken about missing the taping. We'll do it again soon, I'm sure. Right now I'm catching up on some recorded programs on the DVR and finishing up the last bit of knitting on a surprise I want to finish by tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get a chance to do all the seaming and blocking tomorrow, but I'm going to be busy catching up on stuff I've been to sick to do for the last few days.

Superbad and Super crappy.

I went to see Superbad tonight with Jon, Pat, Michelle & Matt. I wish Jenny could have gone, as she's the person who was originally psyched to see it with me, but she's planning L's birthday party tomorrow so whatever. The movie took me back to high school in a major way. First of all this dude, Michael Cera totally reminds me of one of my best friends from high school, Jason, who would probably be annoyed and insulted that I think they are basically one in the same. Secondly umm drawing weiners totally reminds me of Jon. I loved the movie and laughed out loud so much.

Unfortunately I am in a bad mood right now at life in general. My computers keep crapping out on me while I'm trying to work and it's making life difficult. I'm also anxious to have my appointment monday at the gastroenterologist to see why the hell I can't eat/keep getting sick every time I eat.

I'm real irritated and I keep thinking really deeply about relationships and love and commitment and all of these questions and ideas keep popping into my head. Things that don't necessarily apply to me, but that I'm thinking about. I think love should be at the center of a relationship. If you don't LOVE someone the way that you should (romantically) then it should just be over. Financial responsibility, parental responsibility, and friendship can still be there without an actual commitment or relationship. I just don't understand why people don't let go when it's over. Everyone deserves to be happy and everyone deserves to pursue that happiness. I hate the seriousness of vows and the finality of relationships/marriages. I don't know why I keep thinking about this tonight. It doesn't have much to do with me or my marriage/relationship at all (just being clear, don't worry about me and J. This isn't about him.) It's just something I'm thinking about.

I'm frustrated with everything right now and I should probably just go watch Intervention and then go to bed because Dev has karate in the morning and then we've got to go shopping for a birthday present for L, and then go to her party!

a little bit of nothing

It's really, really late. I've been up doing some design work and watching a movie. Bastard Out of Carolina is what I was watching. It made me really, really hate this guy even more than I already hated him as Lester in The House of Sand and Fog. I guess that makes him a good actor? I don't know.

I also watched 3 hrs of American Idol tonight with Jon. He made me. It's our thing. Normally, Wednesday is "tv night" but he had to work until about 12:30am so we just went to bed when he got home. Tonight we caught up. I also watched Grey's. {to my mother in law:} Did I not predict this? *sigh* I guess I'm happy Meredith's still alive, but to tell you the truth I liked her better dead! Also I love Denny and I love the way his shoulders slump forward. He's a beautiful man.

So my friend is in NYC this weekend with his lovely and amazingly talented wife. I'd like to go see them but I don't know if I can! Darnit!

Last night I was playing with my press. I think my tree plate is not quite what I wanted. I wish I had known better, and gotten a different thickness. It works, but it's not exactly what i want. Next time I will know better. After I played, I cleaned my press and took my rollers off and investigated everything and got more or less covered in black ink. My hands and arms are still an ashy gray color, and my fingernails look like, well, dirty, so I'm not stepping foot in public (except for getting Devan from school) until I've scrubbed off every bit of ink.

Well it's actually really, really, really late now. It's time for bed! PS. Thanks for reading, whoever you are!
